Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced he reached a $250,000 settlement with a Spanish-language immersion preschool and its owners, Enrique Rodriguez and Adriana Rodriguez. The state sued the company in 2021 for labor trafficking and allegedly telling foreign-born employees they would be deported or arrested if they did not work for either no pay or less pay than advertised.

On Wednesday, the Office of the Attorney General said an Austin-based Spanish immersion preschool would settle in a labor trafficking lawsuit.
