Buffalo Sabres color commentator Rob Ray didn't let a puck to the face keep him from doing his job. During Saturday evening's Buffalo home game against the New York Rangers, Ray took a puck to the face and audibly let out an NSFW reaction as soon as it happened.

That was the scene Saturday afternoon when Ray -- who spent 14 years as an enforcer for the Buffalo Sabres and now does color commentary between the benches during games -- was hit in the face by a deflected puck during the Sabres' afternoon matchup with the visiting New York Rangers.

About the only pain the Rangers managed to inflict on Saturday in a lopsided loss to the Sabres was to Buffalo broadcaster — and the team’s former enforcer — Rob Ray.

If you’re a hockey fan of a certain vintage, you’ve got to love Rob Ray. The former Buffalo Sabres forward turned broadcaster was one of the toughest players to lace ’em up in the 1990s and is now arguably the toughest broadcaster in the sport.
