Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS has been spotted in Northumberland skies for the first time in 80,000 years
Comet C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan–ATLAS) was only discovered in January 2023 and is said to have last been visible from earth 80,000 years ago when the Neanderthals were alive. It’s bright trail has left stargazers in awe across Northumberland as many managed see it with the naked eye on a clear night.
