Drake has withdrawn a legal action accusing Universal Music Group and Spotify of artificially inflating Kendrick Lamar’s diss track “Not Like Us."

Drake has withdrawn the petition he raised accusing Spotify and Universal Music Group (UMG) of illegally boosting Kendrick Lamar‘s diss track “Not Like Us.” According to documents filed with the New York Supreme Court on Tuesday,

That means he’s decided to forego his initial bid to secure a court order for UMG’s records pertaining to “Not Like Us” and skip straight to suing the major label.

Drake has scrapped a legal case against Universal Music and Spotify, in which he accused the companies of conspiring to boost the streams of Kendrick Lamar's diss track against him, Not Like Us. The Canadian star took action last November,

The star filed legal actions against his record label and the streamer alleging that they made us listen to “Not Like Us” more than we would.

In a federal lawsuit on Wednesday, Drake accused Universal Music Group of putting his life and reputation at risk by releasing and promoting the popular diss track.

But when Lamar's "Not Like Us" diss track went viral and topped music charts globally, Drake reacted by alleging Spotify and UMG came up with an illegal scheme to boost the song.
