The United States has officially updated its maps to Gulf of America. Google has renamed the Gulf of Mexico for some users. Here's what we know.

In accordance with Google's earlier statements, it updated Google Maps to rename the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America in the U.S.

People in Mexico will still see the name Gulf of Mexico, with international users seeing both names, Google said. The change follows an executive order from President Trump.
