Ubisoft Confirms It's Exploring New Rayman Game With Creator Michel Ancel Involved
Ubisoft's statement follows a report earlier today saying that the Lost Crown team had been shifted to work on Beyond Good and Evil 2, the next Ghost Recon, and an unannounced Rayman remake. Creator Michel Ancel was also reported to be involved, which Ubisoft subsequently confirmed.
Ubisoft Confirms They Are In “Early Stages” Of Planning A New Rayman Game, And Working With Ancel
Ancel is best known for producing the first Rayman, working on most of the games in the franchise and putting Ubisoft on the map. He was also known for having made the critically acclaimed Beyond Good and Evil, and the video game adaptation of Peter Jackson’s King Kong.
You will pardon some skepticism about this report that yes, despite being announced in 2008, and re-revealed in 2017, Ubisoft claims that progress is still being made on Beyond Good and Evil 2.
