India captain Rohit Sharma was seen sweating it out at a private complex in Mumbai, a day after he batted in a training session with the Ranji Trophy team. Rohit will lead India in the upcoming ODI series against England and in the Champions Trophy.

Rohit scored only 31 runs in five innings in a disastrous tour of Australia, seeing him drop himself for the fifth Test in Sydney. India lost the series 3-1, and Rohit's future in the longest format of the game is up in the air.

Rohit was the first to respond to that summons. He began Tuesday morning padded up and in whites with the Mumbai Ranji team at the Wankhede Stadium. It was hours of toil in the maidans that had helped Rohit polish his talent and rise to prominence.
