Several fire departments are battling a fire at Western Monroe Historical Society at the Morgan Manning House at 151 Main St. Brockport.

The Morgan-Manning House was heavily damaged in 1964 by a disastrous fire. Volunteers who restored the home in 1965 organized as the Western Monroe Historical Society that year, receiving a provisional charter on April 23, 1965. The final charter was granted in 1968 by the University of New York Education Department Board of Regents.

Fire crews responded to the Morgan-Manning House, a historical house in Brockport, Tuesday night for a blaze inside. Main Street at Union Street and the surrounding area was blocked off to traffic as firefighters worked the reported 4-alarm fire.
