After a failed attempt at merging with JetBlue (JBLU), ultra-low-cost carrier Spirit Airlines (SAVE) is reportedly turning back to a familiar frenemy.

Spirit and Frontier Airlines have restarted discussions about merging, as Spirit navigates debt restructuring and potential bankruptcy. These talks are in preliminary stages and may not result in a deal. Previous merger attempts between the two carriers were halted when JetBlue made a more appealing offer to Spirit shareholders.
