After barricading himself inside a home for hours, the suspect exited with a gun to his head and refused to follow police commands, police said.

Preliminary reports indicate that the incident began when Lake Worth Police conducted a traffic stop for a violation. Shortly after the stop, the vehicle fled, with the occupants firing at Lake Worth officers.

A standoff is underway in Lake Worth after police say a man fired at officers during a traffic stop and police chase and then barricaded himself in a Fort Worth home. At one point, SKY 4 video appears to show the suspect throwing fireworks at responding officers.
