According to a new report, the developers responsible for making this year's acclaimed Metroidvania platformer Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown have been moved to three new games by Ubisoft. The news comes a day after another report said Ubisoft broke the team up and turned down a sequel to The Lost Crown,

The Lost Crown may no longer be in the cards, the team that worked on it is now assisting in the development of a Rayman remake. Prince of Persia team shifted to Rayman Remake Ubisoft has announced a mix of good and bad news.

According to Insider Gaming, around a "dozen" members have been moved over to work on an unannounced Rayman remake. Controversially, the remake will be consulted by Michel Ancel, who left the gaming industry after allegations of "toxic leadership" in 2020.

Ubisoft has confirmed to Eurogamer a new Rayman project is currently in the "exploration phase" at its Montpelier and Milan studios, following recent online reports that work has begun on an unannounced Rayman remake.
