NEW YORK (AP) — Karl-Anthony Towns missed his second straight game because of a sprained right thumb, sitting out against his former team when the New York Knicks hosted Minnesota on Friday night. Jericho Sims started at center for the Knicks.

Sims and Karl-Anthony Towns (thumb) were both listed as questionable initially, but Towns has been downgraded to doubtful, while Sims has been upgraded to probable. Sims drew a spot start in Towns' stead against the Magic on Jan. 6 and posted four points, 10 rebounds, two assists and a block in 29 minutes.

The Knicks are reportedly trying to move Jericho Sims. Stefan Bondy of the New York Post is reporting that after Sims has been moved out of the Knicks' rotation, the front office are looking to find a trade partner to shop Sims around and get a good deal for him.
Sims (back) is available for Wednesday's game against the 76ers, Steve Popper of Newsday reports. After being upgraded to probable, Sims will fight off lower back spasms to suit up for the Knicks on Wednesday.
