Nottingham Forest have confirmed that striker Chris Wood has signed a new contract through until the summer of 2027. Wood, 33, was due to be out of contract at the end of this season, which is on track to be his most prolific at Premier League level.

Football Insider has been told by Keith Wyness that Nottingham Forest will look to sign a long-term replacement for Chris Wood this month.

Wood, who has scored 14 goals in 23 games this season, has signed a two-year contract to keep him at the club until 2027. On extending his stay, the 33-year-old said: "I'm very excited and very happy to have it completed and done, and I'm looking forward to the next couple of years, at least.
