Delhi's Air Quality Index (AQI) rose to 327 on Tuesday, with Anand Vihar recording 417 in the 'severe' category. Pollution is expected to stay high due to shifting wind directions and increased stubble burning.

A thick layer of fog was seen in Anand Vihar, Kalkaji, Nehru Place, and Akshardham Temple localities among other places in the national capital, as the city’s air quality dropped to 385 at 8 am today.

The Jahangirpuri monitoring station registered a 'severe' Air Quality Index at 418, while Vivek Vihar's reading was 407 and Anand Vihar's 402

The city was covered in a thick layer of smog by 9 a.m., with almost all weather monitoring stations falling into the red zone

Toxic foam was also seen floating in the Yamuna River at Kalindi Kunj as pollution levels continued to rise. A similar foam was spotted in the river in the past few days, highlighting rising pollution.
