NEW YORK — Aides and allies to Mayor Eric Adams have discussed launching a charter revision commission next year, a move that would again stymie any City Council effort to gain more power over agency head appointments.

After more than a year of patiently pitching the City of Yes housing plan to neighborhood groups, Mayor Eric Adams’ administration sharpened its rhetoric over two marathon City Council hearings this week, urging lawmakers not to fall victim to misinformation by rejecting the housing plan.
