An 8-year-old was injured after an accidental shooting in Harlan County, according to police. Detectives immediately knew they were dealing with a professional hit. The criminals had riddled the taxi with some 40 bullets, yet stole nothing from the dying driver and passenger.

An investigation is being carried out in Harlan County after a shooting in the early hours of Sunday morning that led to an eight-year-old child in Bledsoe.

The child was first taken to Harlan ARH Hospital before being transferred to UK Hospital in Lexington for further treatment.

A man is facing several charges including third-degree arson after three structure fires in Harlan County, a Kentucky State Police spokesperson said.

State police said Gordon Fultz, 24, was identified as a suspect in connection with the fires and was seen on Garrett Hollow Road, allegedly trying to start another fire.
