Fires erupted on opposite sides of the capital city at two separate apartment complexes, over a dozen of families displaced.

Twenty-three people were displaced and two women were rescued from a fire in a multifamily home in Monday night.

Crews responded to a two alarm fire at an apartment building in Hartford Tuesday evening. Officials said that the fire broke out at 45 Tower Ave., and that the building was occupied at the time. The Special Services Unit worked with the American Red Cross to help families that were forced out.
