A Russian drone struck a multi-storey residential building in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv on Friday evening, triggering a fire in the top floors and killing one person and injuring five, officials said.

The National Police added that debris damaged cars parked near the building. The State Emergency Service published photos of the damaged high-rise, saying that apartments on the 17th, 18th, and 19th floors of the 25-story building sustained partial damage,
