Lake Effect Snow Warning for areas south of Buffalo through Wednesday
BUFFALO, N.Y. — A Lake Effect Snow Warning continues until early Thursday morning 4am for Southern Erie, Wyoming, Cattaraugus, and Chautauqua counties, with 5 to 9 inches of additional snow accumulations in the most persistent bands, especially over the hills inland. Winds will also be gusty to 35 mph, resulting in blowing and drifting snow.
New York Gov. Kathy Hochul announced on Sunday that crews across the state were getting into position to deal with the snow.

Strong winds, colder temperatures, and lake effect snow today. The lake effect band will strengthen and push further south and settle over Ski Country through early Thursday.
