When Alan Wake 2 was released in October of last year, it didn't feature ray tracing. That's about to change when the PS5 Pro is released. Players can expect ray tracing in Alan Wake 2's Quality Mode on the PS5 Pro, which enables ray-traced reflections on opaque and transparent surfaces.

Remedy Entertainment has shared two new videos on their YouTube channel showcasing Alan Wake 2 running on the PlayStation 5 Pro. Thanks to them, we get to see how the game runs on the new hardware as well as some comparisons with the current version of Sony's system.

Remedy also claims that Pro performance mode has improved fog, volumetric lighting, shadow accuracy and image stability. The company further explains that performance mode for the PS5 Pro is superior to the base PS5’s quality mode in terms of output resolution and visual detail.
