Total expenses of the lender also went up by 40% to Rs 4,994.17 crore in the latest quarter. Of this, finance cost stood at Rs 3,055.13 crore compared to Rs 2,205.20 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.

Two- and three-wheeler maker TVS Motor Company reported its quarterly financial results on Wednesday, October 23.

The total expenses in the quarter under review were higher at Rs 10,427.64 crore as compared to Rs 9,297.34 crore in the same period a year ago.

Beating the analysts’ expectations, Bank of Baroda on Friday announced a 23% year-on-year rise in net profit to Rs 5,238 crore in the second quarter of the current financial year, driven by healthy growth in advances. Analysts polled by Bloomberg had estimated the bank to post Rs 4,452 crore net profit in the quarter.

TVS Motor Company’s shares fell 3% after the company announced its Q2 results on Wednesday afternoon. What Happened: TVS Motor reported a standalone net profit of ₹662.62 crore, a 23.49% year-on-year increase from the previous year.

Both net profit and revenue missed Street estimates, which were pegged at Rs 669 crore and Rs 9,534 crore, respectively.
