PlayStation is making up for PSN going down by extending the subscriptions of all PS Plus users by a certain amount of time.

"All PlayStation Plus members will automatically receive an additional 5 days of service," reads a post on X from the official PlayStation support account @AskPlayStation. Five free days of service isn't a bad trade for an issue that lasted around half a day.

PlayStation has revealed that PSN users will get five free days of PlayStation Plus as compensation for the outage. Unsurprisingly, most aren't too happy with the gift, especially considering all the free games that were given in 2011.
