Former University of Georgia quarterback Carson Beck surprised many fans on Friday when he confirmed his transfer to the University of Miami instead of going to the NFL Draft.

Georgia transfer Carson Beck chose the Miami football program, but the Hurricanes reportedly did not shell out the cash some initially speculated.

Beck, who won’t start throwing again for a few months after having UCL surgery, was the only available QB Miami really wanted.
