PATH train passengers will be paying more for their rides across the Hudson starting on Sunday, a week after congestion pricing went in effect in New York City.

After a week of the first city’s congestion pricing, the turn to pay more to come into NYC is now for those commuting on the PATH Train. As commuters entered the PATH station in Hoboken Sunday afternoon,

The price of a one-way PATH train ride has risen to $3, marking an increase from the previous fare of $2.75. Seniors ages 65 and older will now pay a discounted fare of $1.50, an increase from the previous $1.25.

Starting Sunday commuters traveling between New York City and New Jersey will have to pay an increased fare, the first hike by the Port Authority in over a decade.
