Feb 20, 2023 · one of the best Joker deaths in all of Batman. If not the best one. The Animated Series really gave Joker fake deaths. He was eaten by Sharks, fell into fire or was in a plane explosion. Some how he came back after all of them. This version however, actually died. It's hard to think of an on-screen cause of death that was more poetic.

Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker (also known as Batman of the Future: Return of the Joker in Europe and Australia) is a direct-to-video animated feature based on the Batman Beyond series, directly following its finale.

In the flashback sequence when Batman smashes through the projection he smacks the Joker. Blots of blood fly from the Jokers mouth, but he is not bleeding in the next shot.)
