The BMW is rowdy and fun, and likes to get a little sideways, is immensely capable, BUT takes a lot of effort, whereas, Porsche is just effortless, and lets you focus on braking later, adjusting your line, and learning when/where to get back on the throttle. Porsche lets you focus on your line. BMW keeps you busy corralling the car.

Mar 15, 2024 · The Porsche wheel feels light and the BMW's feels like it's made out of lead. The Porsche is like running your hand gently over the road surface and the BMW is like you're in a 737 flying at 36,000' and not interacting with the road unless your door falls off. The Porsche feels alive and the BMW feels dead. For driving pleasure... no comparison.
How does a Porsche's "feel" and reliability compare to a BMW?
The Porsche isn't miles above the BMW; it's an apples to oranges comparison. The Porsche is a sports car, while the BMW is a GT car. It's quieter on the road, has lots of room (comparatively), and is faster on the road (a track might change this outcome in the Boxster's favor).

Porsche has less HP than the x6m but weighs considerably less. 0-60 wins for BMW though, the Porsche feels slightly more sportier (my opinion) I like the old school button layout in the Porsche as well as the analog, RPM centered dash the Porsche does. May 28, 2024 · I mean Porsche is what Mercedes/audi/bmw aspire to, but they are all in their own division and Porsche is in a league of its own. 340i is a weird Goldilocks car that punches way above its weight given its engine (you can easily tune it to be faster than a stock M3).

I wanted a ragtop again, and I didn’t like the lines on the 911 cabs. The Porsche just feels tighter & “more precise”. The shifting in the 6sp manual is better on the Porsche than any of my BMWs ever were, even with shift shift kits on my M3s. Just go for it. You’ll love the Porsche.
