Fiona, also known as the Black Fairy, is a character and the main antagonist in Season 6 of the ABC series Once Upon a Time. She is the mother of Rumplestiltskin, paternal grandmother of Baelfire/Neal Cassidy and Gideon, the paternal great-grandmother of Henry Mills, and Lucy's paternal great-great-grandmother.

Gideon agrees to help him find the Black Fairy's crystal ball and use it to contact the Savior, a powerful person in another realm who may be able to defeat the Black Fairy and free her prisoners. However, when they find the ball, it shatters before they can use it.

Under the Black Fairy's thrall, Gideon arrives in Storybrooke and lies to his parents about his plans to kill Emma, the Savior, so that he can use her power to defeat the Black Fairy.

In the latest episode of Once Upon A Time the heroes of Storybrooke band together in order to defeat the Black Fairy. Rumple, Emma, and Gideon travel into Rumple’s dream realm to find the location of Gideon’s heart while the rest of the team looks for the remaining pieces of the wand that can send the Black Fairy away from their realm for good.

Gideon accompanies the Black Fairy to Gold's pawnshop where she makes her presence known. Belle urges Gideon to come back to them, but he is unable to do so. Gideon watches as the Black Fairy tells Gold that he will join them willingly and they will become a family.

Although the Black Fairy escapes with Mother Superior, Gideon is stopped by Gold as he places cuffs on him, vowing to get his heart back. As everyone begins searching for the sword, Gold tells Belle and Gideon that he has a better idea and uses the powder to transport himself to the Dream Realm along with Emma.
