Now even though I now had the Harmony controlling the PS5, I found that the PS5 activity on the Harmony would not turn on the PS5. But I fixed that by editing the activity startup sequence to hit the right TV buttons to startup the PS5 using the HDMI device link controls.

Nov 20, 2022 · Ok, an update. Had some success! I’m now able to turn the PS5/AVR/TV on & off via a Logitech Harmony Activity. Thanks to @Turbulent_Loan_7416 for their initial tips in getting the Harmony keyboard detected & working with the PS5 (under the guise of a PS4). Here’s the end sequence that worked for me.

Aug 18, 2021 · You can connect your harmony remote directly to the PS5 now and it works great (better than HDMI-CEC or using the PDP IR). Can’t you just press the button on the controller to turn it on since you need to do that to pair the controller anyway? I figured out a workaround.

Nov 19, 2020 · I have a Harmony 950 with hub and the PDP Gaming IR Receiver and it works great for turning on and off my PS5 and for on-screen PS5 control.

In the harmony hub software it accepts PlayStation 5 as a device. But when I go onto the ps5 and go to Bluetooth accessories and attempt to add “harmony keyboard”, like you did on PS4, it says this device is not compatible with ps5? Anyone had any luck or know any other options?
