My first job was at DQ, free food with 0 limits. It was a Dairy Queen right across from the beach so I imagine the owners did pretty well for themselves. Anyways, the food never got old and I ate a lot of it. They are either #1 or #2 for best fast food burgers imo

Dairy Queen was founded in 1940 in Illinois. Dairy Queen jumped on the franchise model early; while Ray Kroc is known for popularizing franchising fast food with McDonald's, that wasn't until 1955. DQ was franchising basically right off the bat. In 1947, a guy named Rolly Klose franchised a DQ in Austin, Texas.

I enjoy DQ burgers too but I've never had one look that bad. The reason I like them is they taste more like a regular burger than most other fast food chains which taste engineered (this isn't bad in some cases aside from Bk and their obsession with making the patty saltier than the Pacific).
