Jan 17, 2025 · Laurie Schwartz, founding president of the Waterfront Partnership of Baltimore, will retire this June after 18 years as the nonprofit’s leader. Schwartz will retire June 30, coinciding with the Waterfront Partnership ’s 20th anniversary in 2025.

Laurie Schwartz began her training as a Somatic Psychotherapist in 1979 with Ilana Rubenfeld. Her search for the integration of psyche, soma and soul continued. She trained in the Hakomi Method of Body-Centered Psychotherapy in 1984 and became a teacher of Hakomi in 2003.
