Just know that midnight black has 2 main problems. Your fingerprints show and the paint chips. Touching the MacBook causes your fingerprints to show a lot on the outside. You’ll either have to clean it frequently or just not let the fingerprints bother you. Midnight black is also known to chip and cause silver to show underneath.

This one literally broke on day 1 and you could hear the Right trigger popping with spring sounds on every push. It also squeaked like crazy every time I pressed it, even the slightest press (this is Day 1 btw).

Initially, I only had reservations about the fingerprint and scratch issues but when I looked at the midnight color, it actually looks much worse than it does in pictures and videos. First, it is no where dark enough to be close to black. It is actually BLUE which isn't as classy as black.

I used to have a black Surface Laptop 3, and I had to wipe it down at least twice a day. I haven't brought a rag into Best Buy to try to clean one up, but if it's anything like the Surface Laptop, it's going to be an ordeal.
